Ali Alizade son of Agshin was born in Baku. Studied at Azerbaijan State Conservatory (1985, Faraj Garayev’s class). Worked at Azerbaijan State Art Institute and Baku Music Academy (1987-1999). Since 1999 he has been teaching at “Hundredth Year University” in Van, Turkey. He was awarded the 1st prize (1985) at the All-Union Competition of Composers in Moscow, and one of the main prizes at the Republic Composition Competition organized by the United Nations in Baku (1998). Among his works are “ashig music” for piano, “2 witches” – a musical for children, “ancient sounds” for 5 instruments, “answer to all questions”, “serenata dolore” for 16 performers and others. He lives in Turkey.

Composer Ali Alizade is the son of composer Agshin Alizade.
