Ismayil Dadashov son of Jabir was born in Baku. Studied at Azerbaijan State Art University. Ismayil, who was interested in literature, theater and cinematography in his school years, started writing poetry and his first pen experiments attracted the attention of readers. In 1978, music was composed for the first time to his poems. Worked at Azerbaijan Television and Radio, “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio, “Space” television and radio company. Wrote lyrics for performances- Ahmet Orucoglu’s “Money Madness”, “Neighbors”, “Mother-in-law’s Operation”,  Marat Hagverdiyev’s “Jealous Hearts”, etc.. For a long time, he worked as a music editor at the “Azerbaijanfilm” cinema studio. In 2011, he was awarded the title of  Honored Cultural Worker. Ismayil Dadashov died on October 22, 2020.
