Ramiz Mirishli

Ramiz Mirishli, son of Agil, was born in Nakhchivan. He studied at the music school named after Asaf Zeynalli (1952-1954), composition specialty at the Azerbaijan State Conservatory (1956-1962). He started working as a musician in the Azerbaijan Radio-Information Department in 1954. Until 1962, he worked as a teacher in various music schools. In 1962-2005, he worked as a senior editor and editor-in-chief in the music of the Azerbaijan State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, and in 1987-1995 he was the artistic guiding of the song and dance ensemble of the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic. In 1978-1998, he headed the Nakhchivan branch of the Union of Composers of Azerbaijan. Ramiz Mirishli, who has been closely connecting his creativity with pedagogical activity for many years, has been a teacher, associate professor and professor of the current Baku Music Academy since 1972, and a professor of the Azerbaijan National Conservatory from 2005 to the end of his life. He is the author of songs and romances, works in the field of film and theater music. Composer wrote 4 musical comedies, a symphony for chamber orchestra, 3 symphonic poems, 4 symphonic suites, 3 cantatas, 2 vocal ensembles for voice and orchestra, 12 suites and miniatures for piano, music for more than 40 theater performances and motion pictures, hundreds of songs, N . the vocal poem “Prophet’s Praise” (1997), songs and romances to Ganjavi’s ghazal for soloist, choir and symphony orchestra. Ramiz Mirishli, Honored Art Worker of Nakhchivan (1974), Honored Art Worker (1982), People’s Artist (1990), laureate of “Fame” and “Honor” orders, died in 2015.
Composer Ramiz Mirishli is the father of composer Nazim Mirishli and of composer Yusif Mirishli.
