Fariz Asif oglu Ahmadov was born in Jabrayil district. “Literary creativity and screen dramaturgy” at the Faculty of Arts of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts (2001-2005), film directing at the All-Russian State University of Cinematography (VGIK) (2010-2012, workshop of Alexander Proshkin), master’s degree at the directing specialty of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts studied.

Director at ANS TV (2005-2006), director-artistic director of “Azanfilm” cartoon studio (2012-2015), director at AzTV (2006-2018), producer at Baku Media Center (2018-2020), “Azerbaijanfilm” worked as the director of the film studio (2020-2022). Currently, he is a producer of the Baku Media Center.

He is engaged in pedagogic activity, he teaches directing at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts (since 2015).

He was the founder and executive director of Baku International Tourism Film Festival (2013-2014). He participated in producer, director and dramaturgy master classes held in different countries and international festivals and was awarded prestigious awards.

In 2015, he received the “Golden Fairy” Professional Award for the film “Melting Island” in the “Best Documentary” category of the Azerbaijan Film Academy. In 2018, he was awarded this award again in the nominations “Best Documentary” and “Best Director’s Work” (in a documentary) with the film “Eternal Mission”.
