Hasan Mehdi oglu Seyidbeyli was born in Baku. He studied at the Leningrad Institute of Cinematographic Engineers at the sound operator faculty (1938-1939), at the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography in Moscow at the film directing faculty (1943-1951, Sergey Eisenstein and G. Kozinsev’s class) and at the Higher script courses. He worked as a director, first secretary (1963-1975) and chairman (1975-1980) of the Board of Directors of the Union of Cinematographers of Azerbaijan at the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio. “The sea loves the brave” (1954, together with Imran Gasimov), “Exam”, “Gold seekers”, “Closed doors”, “What do you live for?” (1959, together with Imran Gasimov) drama works were staged. “On the shores of Kur” (1953), “Telephone Girl” (1960), “Our Astarada”, “Front to Front” (1961), “Far shores” (1954, together with Imran Gasimov), “Years pass” (1973, Imran Together with Gasimov), he is the author of the novels “Chichek” (1978), “Tarsana”, and the story “Mozuzjelar Island”. He was a deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the Azerbaijan SSR (9-10 convocation). Honored artist (1960), People’s Artist (1976) Hasan Seyidbeyli died in 1980.
