Hasanagha Sattar oglu Turabov (HasanTurabov) was born in Baku. Studied acting at the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts (1960). He started working as an actor in the Drama Theater from 1960 and worked in the theater until the end of his life. For some time he worked as the director and general manager of the theater (1987-2001). Hasanagha Turabov, selected for his lyrical-psychological style from the first years of his acting career, has quickly become one of the leading artists in the theater. As a professor of Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, he was effective in his pedagogical activity. Hasanagha Turabov, laureate of the State Prize (1972), Honored Artist (1971), People’s Artist (1982), laureate of the Order of Glory, died in 2003.
