Miri Rzayev son of Ismail was born in Baku. In 1957, he entered the violin class of the Bulbul specialized school under the Conservatory. He graduated from school in 1968, entered the string faculty of the Azerbaijan State Conservatory, and in 1969 entered the Azerbaijan State Art Institute named after M. Aliyev. In 1974, he graduated from the faculty of directing. From 1976 to 1981, he studied correspondence department at the Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography at the Faculty of Film and Television Directing. From 1976 to 1990, he worked first as an assistant and later as a director in the newsroom department of the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio. From 1990 to 2020, he worked as a director of “Azerbaijantelefilm” Creative Union at AzTV TV channel from 1998. He is a member of the Union of Cinematographers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and since 2016 of the Guild of Professional Film Directors of Azerbaijan.
