Ramiz Hasanoglu (Ramiz Mirzayev son of Hasanaga) was born in Yerevan. In 1948, the collective of the Yerevan theater went to Azerbaijan. Two years old Ramiz settled in Ganja with his parents, they came to Baku in 1956. He studied at the Cultural and Educational Faculty of the Azerbaijan State Art Institute named after M.A. Aliyev (1965-1971), and at the Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography (1973-1978). In 1966, he started working as an assistant director at the Azerbaijan State Television and Radio Broadcasting Committee. Since 1993, he has led the “Sabah” experimental creative workshop on Azerbaijan television. He organized more than 200 artistic, documentary and musical programs of various styles. At the same time, he also staged performances at the Musical Comedy Theater, Yug and National Academic Drama Theater. He was the head of “Azerbaijantelefilm” in 2019-2021. From 2021 until today, he is the director of the “Sabah” Creative Studio of Azerbaijan Television. Honored artist (1989), People’s artist (2006).

Director Ramiz Hasanoglu is the son of actress Ataya Aliyeva and director and actor Hasanagha Mirzayev.

Director Ramiz Hasanoglu is the brother of director Rauf Suleyman.
