Shahmar Alakbarov, son of  Zulfugar, was born in Ganja. When he was 9 years old, his family moved to Baku. He studied at the acting faculty of the Azerbaijan State Theater Institute (1964, the course of Rza Tahmasib). He was hired by the Azerbaijan State Academic National Drama Theater while in his third year. He performed in the theater for the first time in Shakespeare’s “Lope de Vega”. After his success in the play “Masters”, he won the sympathy of the audience. After that, Adil Iskanderov invited him to the “film acting” studio he created under the film studio. He worked as an actor and director in “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio. After completing his studies, he was kept at the institute as a teacher-assistant. He was also active in the field of television and radio. He was the host of the “Ulduz” program and the “Molla Nasreddin” program on the radio. He appeared as a Turkish policeman in the film “Night in Chile” (1977, directed by Sebastian Alarcon, Alexander Kocharev / Russia) of foreign film producers, and in the TV series “Fiery Roads” (1977-1984, directed by Shuhrat Abbasov / Uzbekistan). He participated in the dubbing of many films. Honored artist (1976), People’s artist, State award laureate Shahmar Alakbarov died in 1992.
