Shamil Mahmudbeyov, son of  Faramez, was born in Nakhchivan. He studied at the directing faculty of the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (1954). Since 1954, he worked at the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio. Honored artist (1976), State award winner (1970) Shamil Mahmudbeyov died in 1997.
