Tariyel Valiyev son of Tayyar was born in Imishli. Studied at Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, Leningrad State Academy of Theater, Music and Cinematography. For some time, he participated in the performances of Lutfi Mammadbeyov’s folk theater. He started working on the radio in 1967, and “Ghitadan Keta” became his first program. In 1972, he switched to television and worked as a director on Azerbaijan television until the end of his life. Over the years, he has worked as the director of the literary drama program of the television, in addition to being the director of the production of television plays, documentaries, state events, holiday programs, and television programs. Since 1988, he has been teaching at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts. He was the head of the “Film studies” department, “Television director” department (2007-2012). Honored artist Tariyel Valiyev died in 2012.

Director Tariyel Valiyev is the father of director Vugar Valiyev.
