Teymur Bekirzade son of Bekir was born in Baku. He studied at the Azerbaijan State Institute of Physical Education, at the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography, at the film studies faculty, and at the Higher Directing courses in Moscow (1974). Honored artist Teymur Bekirzade died in 1995.

Director Teymur Bekirzade is the brother of director Nijat Bekirzade.

Director Teymur Bekirzade is the father of sound director Bekir Bekirzade.
