Arif  Maharramov son of Ali was born in Baku. He studied at Azim Azimzade Azerbaijan State Art School (1972), All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (1981). Since 1981, he has worked as an art director in feature films, as an artist and director in animation films at the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio. His painting works have been exhibited in Azerbaijan and foreign countries. He lived and worked in Latvia for some time. In 2018, he was awarded the “Golden Fairy” Professional Award of the Azerbaijan Film Academy in the “Best Animated Film” category with the animation film “My Little Prince”. Honored artist (2000) Arif Maharramov died on August 9, 2022.
