Eldeniz Guliyev

Eldeniz Guliyev son of Jumshud was born in Lankaran. He studied at the Azerbaijan State Art Institute (1974), at the screenwriting department of the Higher Directing and Screenwriting Course in Moscow (1979-1981, creative workshop of A.Tarkovsky, V.Yezhov, O.Ioseliani). He experienced in “Mosfilm”, M.Gorky film studios, Ostankino Television Center. He worked as editor at “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio, member of editorial board, artistic council, state film reception commission (1981-1987),as  editor-in-chief of “Debut” studio (1987-1992), as editor-in-chief of “Azerkinovideo” Production Union (1993-1996), as the editor-in-chief of the company at ABA television (1999). In 2006, he was awarded the honorary title of “Ambassador of Peace” by the International Peace Federation. He is the founder of the newspaper “Ziyali-Intelligensiya” published in Russian and Azerbaijani. Currently, he is the chairman of the Union of Azerbaijan Intellectuals. “Uchatilan”, Dramas such as ” Enchanted circle “, “Tepagoz”, “Why is Mr.Murshud silent?”, “Wish”, etc. were staged in the theaters of the Republic. The collection of stories “White Dream” (1985), the book of stories and short stories “Shadowless Man”    (1998 ), “Rasim Balayev” (1999) books were published.

Screenwriter Eldeniz Guliyev is the husband of actress Khalida Guliyeva.

Screenwriter Eldeniz Guliyev is the father of director Najaf Guliyev.
