Amin Novruzov, son of Novruzali, was born in Guzdak village of Baku. He studied at the cinematography faculty of the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (1978-1983, Vadim Yusov’s workshop). Since 1983, he started working as a picture director at the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio. Since 1998, he has been teaching at the “Department of Cinematography and Cinematography” of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, and from 2004 to 2015 he headed that department. In 2018, the book-textbook “Photocomposition” co-authored with Rafael Gambarov and several programs and methodical recommendations were published. Professor Amin Novruzov was awarded the honorary title of Honored Worker of Art in 2000.

He is  director of photography Elkhan Novruzov’ father.
