Asgar Ismailov

Asgar Ismailov son of Jafar was born in Tbilisi. He studied at the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography. Since 1936, he worked at the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio. For the first time, Asgar Ismailov from Azerbaijan was sent to Moscow, where he studied the technology of color films and returned. In 1947, he shot the first color documentary film “From Baku to Goy-Gol”. Later, he organized groups at the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio and taught the technology of color film to young people. He translated the book about color films from German into our language. Honored artist Asgar Ismailov died in 1983.
