Israfil Agazade (Israfil Agayev) was born in Baku. He studied at the cinematography faculty of the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (1980-1985, workshop of A. Galperin). He worked as a cameraman’s assistant (1977-1985), director of photography (1985-1996), and director of photography (1994-1996) in the Azerbaijan film studio. In 1996, he became the president of Bachuan Cinema Company. He is engaged in pedagogical activities at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts.
