Anver Abbasgulu oglu Abluj was born in Beylagan, originally from South Azerbaijan. Acting at the Azerbaijan State Art Institute named after M.A. Aliyev (1964-1968), studying at the directing faculty of the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK) in Moscow (1968-1973). Since 1993, he has been teaching director’s art at the State Art Gymnasium. There are dubbing services. Honored Artist (2006).

Director Anwar Abluj is the brother of actor and director Hasan Abluj.

Director Anvar Abluj is the father of actor and doctor Abbasgulu Abluj.
