Aganagi  Akhundov son of Yagub was born on October 13, 1928 in Baku. In 1948, he entered the Azerbaijan State Art School named after Azim Azimzadeh, where he graduated as a teacher of drawing and calligraphy in general schools. Aganagi Akhundov graduated from the All-Union Institute of Cinematography in 1963 as a director-director of animated films. He completed his military service on October 26, 1964, and became a member of the Union of Cinematographers in 1967 and the Union of Artists in 1980. He simultaneously worked in some feature and documentary films as a costume designer. A. Akhundov was awarded the Veteran of Labor Order on October 30, 1989 for his contribution to Azerbaijani cinematography. Aganagi Akhundov died on August 26, 2002.
