Filmdirector

Agarza Samander oglu Guliyev was born in Lankaran. He studied at the Azerbaijan Theater School (1924), at the cinema workshop under the Kinofabrik (1927). Since 1924, he started working as an actor in cinema. Later, he continued his work as a film director. He appeared in the role of Agarza Musayev in the film “Meeting” (1930, directed by Garsevan Gomarteli / Georgia) of foreign film producers, and in the role of Guliyev in the film “Onuch” (1936, directed by Mikhail Romm / Russia). He also worked in dubbing. Honored artist (1960) Agarza Guliyev died in 1976.
