Elkhan Parviz oglu Jafarov was born in Baku. He studied at the acting faculty of the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (A. Batalov’s course). At a young age, he appeared in children’s films. For some time he worked as an actor in the Azerbaijan State Drama Theater and “Yug” Theater. He worked on Azerbaijani television and in private studios. In 1995, he shot his first full-length film, and later various music videos and commercials. Currently, he works as a director. In the children’s film “Get Ready, Your Highness” (1978, directed by Vladimir Popkov / Russia) by foreign film producers, he played the main role – as Prince Delikhyar Surambuka. In 2015, he was awarded the “Golden Fairy” Professional Award in the nomination “Best Director’s Work” for the film “Hail” and in the nomination “Best Audiovisual Work Dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the Republic” for the film “9 Pictures of the Republic” in 2018. He is an honored artist.
