Ilgar Najaf

Ilgar Najaf was born in Vedibasar district of Western Azerbaijan. In 198 he left his forced home with his family and moved to Sumgayit. Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts to study in the specialty of film and television director (1993-1997). In 200, he completed the film director courses of the director Krzysztof Zanussi in the international film “Avanti” with the F OCAL organization of Switzerland. He participated in the Talent Campus section of the Berlin film festival. Films participated in various international festivals and were awarded prizes. Ilgar Najaf won the “Golden Fairy” Professional Award of the Azerbaijan Film Academy in the nomination “Best Feature Film” with the film “Pomegranate Orchard” in 2018. In 2005, he founded “Butafilm” film company and currently manages it.
