Igbal Mammadaliyev

Igbal Vamiq oglu Mammadaliyev was born in the Kurdakhani village of Baku. He studied at music school No. 10 (1989-1994, tar class), majored in directing (1996-2000) and master’s degree in theater studies (2000-2002) at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts. As a graduate student of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, he studied the topic of “montage structure in cinema” (2003-2006).

He worked as a freelance writer in the main editorial office of the Azerbaijan State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company “Youth and Time” (1996-1998), in the “Soy” company (1998-2000), on Lider TV (2000-2004), on Public TV (2005-2006), and as a director in the “Salname” documentary film studio. Since 2009, he is the general director of EL TV (ARB Aran) television operating in Yevlakh city. He founded the “Aranfilm” Creative Center within the television (2016-2020).

He is the director of television projects, more than 200 programs, concerts, performances and live broadcasts, and the author of more than 60 documentaries. He produced many documentaries.

He was awarded the “best director of the year” award established by the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Tourism of Azerbaijan (2004). His films have been awarded at several international festivals.

Director, producer Igbal Mammadaliyev is the son of artist Vamig Mammadaliyev.

Director, producer Igbal Mammadaliyev is the brother of director Salam Mammadaliyev and lighting engineer Gurban Mammadaliyev.
