Musa Aghabay oghly Bagirov was born in Baku. For many years, he worked at “Azerbaijanfilm” and “Ekran” Creative Union. He directed more than 50 documentaries. In 1994, he was appointed head of the “Cinema and Television” department of the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts. In 1997, the “Television Director” and “Film Directing and Cinematography” departments were established on the basis of that department. “Television director” chair was headed by professor Musa Bagirov. He is also the author of research on General Hazi Aslanov – “The General’s Way” (1988), “The Fate of the Commander” (1999). Honored artist Musa Bagirov donated his personal library to the State Film Fund in 2010. Director Musa Bagirov died on May 11, 2022.
