Omur Malik oghlu Nagiyev was born in Baku. He studied at the film and television directing faculty of the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography in Moscow (1975-1979). Since 1972, he worked at the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio. He worked as an actor in the theater studio of the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio, in the St. Petersburg State Theater (1980), in the Baku Municipal Theater (1995-1997), and as a director on Azerbaijan TV. Since 2005, he has been an actor of the Azerbaijan State Russian Drama Theater named after Samad Vurgun. In the role of Captain W in the film “How the Second World War Begins” (1971, Poland), produced by foreign cinematographers, in the role of Nikkhalas in the film “Appearance on the Ganges” (1975, directed by Latif Fayziyev, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, India), “Chavus Gadban” (1976, He played the role of Sergeant Ghadban in the film Oman Arab Republic). Honored artist Omür Nagiyev died in 2013.
