Yalchin  Efendiyev son of Heydar was born in Baku. He studied at the geological geography faculty of Azerbaijan State University (1960) and the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (workshop of Lev Kuleshov and Boris Belokurov). For some time, he headed the production unit of the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio for chronic-documentary and scientific-mass films. The first animated film shot at the “Azerbaijanfilm” film studio after the restoration of the animation workshop is also related to his name: the animated application film “Dwarf” he made in 1969 laid the foundation for animated films in the Azerbaijani national cinema after the restoration of this field. He was awarded the Azerbaijan Komsomol award for the film “It’s good that there is Samad Vurgun in the world” (1976). Yalchin Efendiyev, who worked as a teacher at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, honored artist (1982), People’s Artist (2007), died in 2019. .
